Why do people leave retirement accounts to Volunteers of America of Minnesota?
- Gifts are simple. Just contact your retirement account administrator/custodian for a beneficiary change form.
- Tax savings can be enormous. Other beneficiaries might keep only 30 cents on the dollar.
- Family members can benefit too. You can leave funds to a charitable remainder trust that will pay lifetime income to a spouse or other person, with later benefit to our programs.
- Gifts are highly flexible. You can leave a portion to a spouse or other family member and the rest to Volunteers of America of Minnesota, or name us as a “contingent” beneficiary.
- Retirement account gifts are immensely satisfying. You can make a significant gift that will make a difference and have a lasting impact on the people of our community for years to come.
