Why do people leave retirement accounts to Volunteers of America of Minnesota?

1. Gifts are simple. Just contact your retirement account administrator/custodian for a beneficiary change form.

2. Tax savings can be enormous.  Other beneficiaries might keep only 30 cents on the dollar.

3. Family members can benefit too.  You can leave funds to a charitable remainder trust that will pay lifetime income to a spouse or other person, with later benefit to our programs.

4. Gifts are highly flexible.  You can leave a portion to a spouse or other family member and the rest to Volunteers of America of Minnesota, or name us as a “contingent” beneficiary.
