Days/Hours: Service available Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m., except holidays

Participants are
: Persons age 60 and greater

Fees: A suggested donation of $3 for each segment of the trip, however passengers may pay what they can afford

The Volunteers of America ElderRide program helps seniors, age 60 and older, remain independent and active by providing them with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, senior dining, senior center activities, recreation, and other destinations within the Minneapolis city limits. 

 

ElderRide service is available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m., and is closed on national holidays.

 

Passengers are picked up at their doors and are escorted to the first door of their destinations by the ElderRide driver.  All ElderRide vans are equipped with lifts and can accommodate individuals in wheelchairs and with walkers.
