DBT Services For Adolescents

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an empirically researched psychotherapeutic treatment model employing cognitive and behavioral principals.  DBT is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy specifically designed to treat adolescents with patterns of emotional dysregulation.

Outpatient DBT Therapy for Adolescent Males and Females

  • Our Outpatient Therapy Program for Adolescents offers coordinated individual and multi-family group therapy services to youth age 15 to 18 who have severe emotional/behavioral problems, and/or emerging personality disorders and who engage in self-harming behaviors.  Our therapy program is designed to be an intensive long-term intervention with an average length of six-months to one-year or longer.

Residential DBT Therapy For Adolescent Females

  • Our treatment unit at Avanti Center for Girls, which serves females ages 12 - 18 who have emotional and behavioral disorders, utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide youth with the skills necessary to change their approach toward dealing with problems, to regulate and express their emotions in healthier ways and to make more responsible choices.
