On March 27, 2007, during the Timberwolves game against the Sonics at the Target Center, the Timberwolves' Fastbreak Foundation honored Patrick McLafferty. For the past 28-years, McLafferty has opened his home to over 250 foster children during their time of transition.
Patrick McLafferty has been a licensed foster parent with the Volunteers of America of Minnesota Family Treatment Foster Care program for a total of 15 years during which he has been a foster parent to more than 50 children with emotional and behavioral disturbances who are participants of our program.
Timberwolves President Chris Wright presented him with a personalized Timberwolves jersey to honor, and to celebrate, McLafferty was joined on the court by 10 of the children he fostered.
