- Residential setting provides services 24-hours per day, 7-days per week, 365-days per year
Participants are: Males and females, ages 12 to 18, who exhibit emotional and behavioral problems and need stabilization, evaluation or treatment programming

Bar None Residential Treatment Services offers a variety of residential treatment and aftercare services, as well as evaluation and stabilization options, for at-risk youth who exhibit emotional and behavioral problems. Our goal is to assist program participants in gaining the skills necessary to improve their quality of life, the lives of those around them, and to succeed as adults.
Treatment Programs
Bar None has four residential treatment units that serve a wide range of program participants. Treatment programming for males includes units for cognitively delayed youth.
Stabilization and Evaluation Programs
- Our short-term stabilization programming provides a safe and supportive environment for male youth (ages 10-18) in transition or crisis for up to 90 days.
- Our long-term stabilization program provides stabilization of behavior and life skill development for male youth (ages 10-18) in transition or crisis for between 2 and 4 months.
- Our evaluation program is a 30-day program for male and female youth (ages 11-18) and provides medical screening, behavior assessment, psychological testing, and psychiatric services.
A wide array of services complement work done on-site in program units to provide a truly comprehensive treatment experience. Participants of the Stabilization and Evaluation Programs are also able to access many of these services as optional supplements to typical programming, if requested.

Clinical Staff

Bar None’s clinical staff is composed of master’s degree level mental health professionals who are licensed (or license eligible). Additionally, they:
- Are assigned to each treatment and evaluation unit
- Assure treatment units maintain a therapeutic environment
- Provide family and group therapy
- Furnish training to direct care Residential Counselors, who implement treatment plans, perform behavior management, run group sessions, etc.
- Monitor resident treatment plans during placement
- Provide aftercare services prior to and after discharge
Individual, Group and Family Therapy

One to three hours per week of individual and family therapy
- Five to seven hours per week of group therapy on-site
- Provided in-home and in several Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area office locations
Aftercare Services

Treatment and aftercare planning begins at intake and continues through placement
- Clinical staff provide intensive parent/caregiver support
- Individual follow-up for 6-months after discharge from the Bar None treatment facility
Work and Vocational Programming

Bar None's on-site Work Readiness Program includes landscaping, carpentry, painting, janitorial and food service work options
- Manufacturing and landscaping classes available through Crossroads School
- Bar None program participants may acquire jobs in the community, as appropriate
