Spring Renewal Campaign 2011
When spring finally arrives in Minnesota – instantly our minds turn to
thoughts of new growth, renewal, and revival We see, smell, and feel the
world transform around us. In the spirit of spring, we share video
interviews of real people whose lives have been transformed by
Volunteers of America of Minnesota through our “Voices of Renewal”
series.
- Sue: Though tailored exercise programming at Southwest Senior Center, Sue was able to get her balance and strength back after a brain injury.
- Michelle: 25% of public school 9th graders in Minnesota have hurt themselves on purpose at some time. At Avanti, Michelle learned to stop hurting herself and so much more.
- Marion: Marion once thought her life was over, but is now a member of the "Funsters" social group at North Park Plaza and is helping other seniors live vitally.

Montreal and Nate: Only 60% of high school seniors in Minneapolis will graduate this year, Montreal and Nate will be among the graduates of Phoenix High School.
