Volunteers of America-Minnesota Appoints Paul Omodt Vice President of External Relations

(Minneapolis, March 19, 2012)—Volunteers of America-Minnesota (VOA-MN), a nonprofit health and human service organization, is pleased to announce today that Paul Omodt, ABC, APR, MBC, has been named to the newly created role of Vice President of External Relations. He will assume his duties effective March 19.

Omodt is a seasoned, multi-specialty executive with more than 20 years of experience building and leading teams in the areas of crisis communications, issues management, community and government affairs, media relations, internal communications, public relations and marketing. Since 2001, he has been with Padilla Speer Beardsley, an integrated communications firm, where he most recently served as Vice President of Crisis, Government Affairs and Media Relations Practices. Prior to that, Omodt held communications positions for the Northwest Air Line Pilots Association, and Callan Publishing. He holds a master’s degree in Business Communications from the University of St. Thomas and has received numerous national and local awards for his work.
