With the help of about 30 volunteers, we hosted a baseball-themed “Homerun to Health” fair for older adults at Park ElderCenter in Minneapolis in August. This unique event featured activities and information about various health-related topics including blood pressure management, maintaining flexibility, engaging the brain, and improving eye-hand coordination.
Participants and staff from our Services for Persons with Special Needs program in Princeton sold brats to raise money for additional recreational/social activities such as attending a camp, a concert or special group activity. Prizes were awarded to individual bowlers and teams in numerous categories including top fundraiser and highest score.
