Volunteers of America of Minnesota Mental Health Clinics: Resources Organizer
Location:	Golden Valley Clinic: 5905 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55422
Date/Time Commitment:	Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Inventory all the resource materials for the Clinics and each therapist (books, articles, therapy tools, therapy equipment, games, etc.) and develop a resource directory/manual for staff to use.

Volunteers of America of Minnesota Mental Health Clinics: Childcare
Location:	Clinic locations or in the home of a participant: Anoka Clinic: 22426 St. Francis Blvd Anoka, MN 55303 OR Golden Valley Clinic: 5905 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55422
Date/Time Commitment:	Hours would fluctuate. Group programs are typically in the late afternoon and evenings.
Childcare during groups session that occur at our Mental Health Clinics location or in the home of a participant. Provide care for the children of program parents who do not have money for childcare so they can attend groups or services where childcare is not provided. One or more children/family members may be deaf or hard of hearing. Basic American Sign Language (ASL) skills required.

Many Bar-None residents lack consistent role models, stability and a sense of familiarity in their ever-changing worlds. As a mentor, you can make a difference in the life of a child while having fun with your new friend!

Volunteers of America of Minnesota: High School: Tutor for Reading, Writing or Math

Date/Time Commitment:	Monday – Friday 3:00 – 5:00 or 5:00-9:00 Saturday 12:00 – 6:00
Tutors are needed to help students one-on-one and to assist teachers in the classroom.

Volunteers of America of Minnesota: Stonebridge Community School: Classroom Volunteer/Tutor
Location:	Stonebridge Community School, 4 West Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404
Date/Time Commitment:	Anytime from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. We prefer a commitment of at least one hour per week, but can work with other schedules
Working with the classroom teacher, volunteers plan to either do individual tutoring of students or to work with various students during class work times. Many of the students in our K-6 school are behind academically and can benefit from extra support in reading and math. Our students are eager to learn and love to work 1-to-1 with volunteers.

Volunteers of America of Minnesota: Adult Education Program - English Language Tutor
Location:	VOA Education Center, 924 19th Ave S., Minneapolis, MN 55404
Date/Time Commitment:	Program hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed once a week for between one and four hours.
Beginner to Low Intermediate Levels. Provide one to one, small group or multilevel classroom instruction to refugee and immigrant adults, ages 21-90. Examples of class work include spelling, basic alphabet, reading, conversation practice, grammar and handwriting. Assist a teacher with break out groups or one to one remedial support.

Date/Time Commitment:	Program hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed once a week for between one and four hours.
Intermediate to Advanced Levels. Assist refugee and immigrant adult learners in improving their written expression in areas such as spelling, grammar, employment based writing, filling out applications and medical forms, and writing creatively.

Date/Time Commitment:	Program hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed once a week for between one and four hours.
All levels. Assist in a group setting by supporting non-literate to semi-literate refugee and immigrant adults in improving their understanding of basic computers. Tutors will help an instructor teach the basic parts of a computer, how to use the Internet, Word and Excel and perform job searches in order to increase their overall technological literacy.

Date/Time Commitment:	Program hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed once a week for between one and four hours.
Intermediate to Advanced Levels. Reading tutors work in a classroom to improve the overall comprehension of written passages in preparation for the Minnesota Basic Standards tests. Tutors will work with learners on vocabulary, reading speed and discussion of written passages to test comprehension.

Volunteers of America of Minnesota: Experience Corps Tutor
Location:	At one of ten partner schools locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul
Date/Time Commitment:	4 to 15 hours per week. Daytime hours during the school year. A small stipend is available for those who can make a one year commitment for 10 or 15 hours per week.
One-on-one tutoring to improve the reading skills for K-3 students in our partner schools.
